Is there an upcoming Breaking Bad movie or what? The rumors have certainly solidified over time, and roped in all manner of cast members, including Bryan Cranston

Aaron Paul is still being elusive about the whole thing, based on Variety‘s account of his answers to questions about the flick while attending the Sun Valley Film Festival.

The movie—titled Greenbriar—allegedly filmed throughout Albuquerque from November 2018 to February 2019. Asked about it, Paul reportedly said, “Rumors are funny—I once heard a rumor that I was being cast as Han Solo.” We never heard that, but he would’ve been all wrong for the part.

Anyway, Paul continued: “I haven’t heard anything about the Breaking Bad movie but if there is one and it comes together I’d love to be a part of it.” Paul then reminded everyone that “In case you haven’t caught up on the TV series, Walter dies, so…it has to star Jesse.”

Come on, man. This feels like the kind of moment where Jesse might get a little irate and say, “Seriously, bitch?” Rumor mills don’t grind as hard as they have about Greenbriar (also spelled Greenbrier by many sources) without there being some kind of substance to them.

After all, the synopsis for the film sounds exactly like Pinkman’s plight at the end of Breaking Bad: “a kidnapped man” goes on a “quest for freedom.” It seems like a pretty sure bet Aaron Paul is just messing with us.

Greenbriar—if that is its real name—is coming to Netflix, according to Deadline. Any release date is still up in the air.
