Are These the 10 Absolute Worst Songs of the Year?

Sorry, Iggy.

There are always a ton of end-of-year lists to slog through once December arrives, some more impactful than others. They’re all pretty subjective and perhaps most suitable for starting arguments at holiday parties. That’s certainly the case with Time magazine’s “The Top 10 Worst Songs of the Year.”

Time was pretty unstinting with its criticism of these tunes and, the truth is, many of them probably deserve their spot on the list. What’s debatable is the position.

For example, Iggy Azalea‘s “Team” is merely number three on the list, when some music lovers could make an argument for it being number one.

Meghan Trainor, who has been omnipresent on top 40 radio, shows up twice on the magazine’s list. Her song “No” has a semi-sexy video to support it, but it probably deserves number eight in Time‘s ranking, while her “Mom” should maybe be at number two, after all.

Here’s the full list:

10. “7 Years,” Lukas Graham
9. “Private Show,” Britney Spears
8. “NO,” Meghan Trainor
7. “i hate u, i love u,” gnash
6. “I Took a Pill in Ibiza,” Mike Posner
5. “Bad Things,” Machine Gun Kelly
4. “Ghostbusters (I’m Not Afraid),” Fall Out Boy & Missy Elliott
3. “Team,” Iggy Azalea
2. “Mom,” Meghan Trainor
1. “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” Justin Timberlake

Trot it out to anyone in the know about any of these artists and see if some fireworks start. We’re pretty sure everyone might agree with Iggy’s placement, though.
