‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Sets World Record With Monster $630 Million Box Office Premiere
Wow.
It’s not that surprising given this Marvel mega-franchise’s record, but it’s still impressive. With a mind-blowing $630 million opening, Avengers: Infinity War has had the most profitable box office opening ever, reports Deadline.
Surprisingly, the previous record-holder isn’t another Avengers movie; it’s an entry in another popular film franchise, The Fate of the Furious. Infinity War really blew Fate away, too, with a $444 million opening.
Infinity War, which ties together a number of plot threads running through previous installments, is in goody company. The over $200 million club includes Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Black Panther, and—of course—The Avengers.
It’s no wonder Infinity War has been killing it. Just a few tweets should give you some idea just how hard it kicks ass.

Yeah, looks like a lot of those butts in seats were pretty happy with their purchase.
