Here’s Why Batman and Superman are Duking it Out in Dawn of Justice

Spoilers ahead!

It’s fairly well known that Zack Snyder’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, the first major installment in DC’s shared cinematic universe after Man of Steel, is going to be a film of epic proportions. We haven’t however, heard much real detail shared about the movie’s plot (aside from a couple photos here and there).

Odeon Cinemas, a relatively large company based in the UK, recently released an updated synopsis for the film that included some interesting facts regarding exactly why our two titular heroes are beating the shit out of each other:

“At long last, see Batman and Superman square off against each other in ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’, an epic superhero showdown which will change both their lives forever.

Clark Kent doesn’t trust Gotham’s mysterious masked vigilante. Bruce Wayne doesn’t trust the alien who nearly destroyed Metropolis. And Lex Luthor, who hates Superman more than anyone, is manipulating both of them for his own twisted ends.

Since there hasn’t been much talk of Lex’s place in the upcoming cinematic mayhem, it’s good to know that he’ll be as evil as ever. But even with this new info, there’s still no real hint as to who will come out on top. Will it be the Man of Steel or the Dark Knight? We’ll have to wait until March to find out.
