Who knew Benedict Cumberbatch could belt out a classic rock jam like this?
The Sherlock star joined former Pink Floyd singer/guitarist David Gilmour onstage at London’s Royal Albert Hall Wednesday night to sing Floyd’s classic hit “Comfortably Numb.”
Watch the video above to see how he did, but we think Cumberbatch kind of nailed it.
This isn’t the first time Cumberbatch has sang with musical heavyweights. In 2013, he recorded “Can’t Keep It Inside” for the August: Osage County soundtrack, alongside rockers like Kings of Leon and Bon Iver.
Gilmour is in the middle of a string of five shows at the U.K. venue to support his 2015 solo album Rattle The Lock. He performs at Royal Albert Hall again on September 29th and September 30th.
