Billy Joel broke out a Bruce Springsteen impression on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that you’ve got to see to believe. Watch it above.

While speaking with the rock pianist and Long Island native during last night’s live broadcast, Kimmel revealed that he and Howard Stern were at a performance of Springsteen on Broadway when they got word that the “Piano Man” was also in attendance.

“We assumed you were back backstage and were gonna make a big surprise appearance with Bruce at the end of the show,” Kimmel said.

Apparently, The Boss has a strict “no guest appearances” policy for his Broadway run. But Joel’s impromptu impersonation of Springsteen singing “Meeting Across the River” is definitely the next best thing. Compare it to the original below:

He proceeded to crush one of his greatest hits, “Miami 2017 (Seen the Lights Go Out on Broadway).” How timely!

If there was ever a Bruce Springsteen cover band we’d actually pay to see, it’d have to feature Billy Joel singing lead.
