‘Black Mirror’ Is Returning to Netflix Sooner Than We Thought

Prepare yourselves for six episodes of the weirdest sh*t ever.

British anthology series Black Mirror has become must-stream TV after jumping from the UK’s Channel 4 to Netflix. While a third season of the wonderfully dark and brainy series was announced a few months back, we’ve been refreshing our browsers impatiently to see when new episodes would appear online—that is, until now.

Black Mirror‘s biggest and weirdest season yet will hit the airwaves on October 21st, just a few days shy of the spookiest of the year. During this year’s TCA summer press tour, Netflix shared the rundown for the entire season during the panel, revealing a stacked cast, directors, and episode titles as follows:

Series creator Charlie Brooker shared that these brand spankin’ new episodes have no boundaries, with each individual standalone story covering different topics from history and romance to straight horror/thrillers. And, because of the transition over from Channel 4, the basic episode length time restrictions are no more.

“We’ve got kind of like a police procedural story, for instance, this time around,” Brooker told Esquire. “We’ve got a romance. We’ve got a thriller. We’re got a horror romp episode. We’ve got a military story. So we’ve got sort of a variety, and the running times are quite different. One of them is feature length, so you wouldn’t necessarily want to binge-watch that and another one. It might be dawn before you’ve finished.”

Make sure you clear that schedule of yours. Black Mirror returns to Netflix for Season 3 on October 21st.
