Listen to Kendrick Lamar’s Lead Single For ‘Black Panther: The Album’
Lamar joins forces with SZA on a blazing jam for the hotly-anticipated Marvel movie.
Black Panther has already spawned some killer trailers and teasers that suggest it might be one of the best Marvel superhero movies in years.
The latest bit of good news is that rapper Kendrick Lamar, whose breakout album Damn was on pretty much every music critic’s best of 2017 list, will be co-curating and producing Black Panther: The Album. He also just dropped the lead single, “All the Stars’ featuring SZA, which is pretty damn good, too. Just listen to it above.
Lamar issued a public statement about his Black Panther involvement.
“Marvel Studios’ Black Panther is amazing, from its cast to its director. The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture.
I’m truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside [director Ryan Coogler] and Marvel’s vision.”
Meanwhile, “Kung-Fu Kenny” also recently shared the gorgeous, slow-burning video for “Love”, one of the standout songs off Damn. Check it out here:
No official release date for Black Panther: The Album has been announced yet, but the movie hits theaters on February 16.
