Brad Pitt & Margot Robbie Are Hard-Partying Hollywood Stars In First ‘Babylon’ Trailer

The decadent portrayal of Hollywood’s Golden Age is fueled by cocaine, classic cars and Tommy Guns.

The overly ambitious and excessively decadent attitudes of Hollywood’s Golden Age are stylishly presented in the new trailer for Babylon from Oscar-winning La La Land director Damien Chazelle.

The trailer’s opening sequence features a powder-nosed Margot Robbie concluding a coked-out conversation with a butler,”I just want everyone to party forever.” That sets the tone for the debauched scenes that follow depicting topless soirees, decadent Dusenbergs, and even a Tommy Gun equipped gangster warfare.

Starring Robbie as a Roaring ’20s bombshell and Brad Pitt as a suave movie star, Variety notes that Babylon is set in the 1920s amid the film industry’s transition from silent films to talkies.

The over-the-top period piece will chronicle the rise and fall of several characters portrayed by an ensemble cast includes Diego Calva, Tobey Maguire, Max Minghella, Spike Jonze, Jean Smart, Flea, Jeff Garlin, P.J. Byrne, Samara Weaving and Olivia Wilde.

Babylon hits select theaters on December 25 and nationwide cinemas on January 6. Watch the first official trailer above.
