Charli XCX Joins the ‘Angry Birds’ Movie
The Maxim cover girl is officially a triple-threat.
Charli XCX brought the noise to our May 2015 issue as our bombshell cover model. Now, the model/musician is adding acting to her arsenal of talents, making her a bona fide triple threat.
The boisterous Brit was just cast as Willow, the turquoise, beanie-wearing bird, in The Angry Birds Movie. Starring in an kid’s movie is a far cry from her raunchy pop videos, but it does make some sense if you consider the film’s eclectic cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 23-year-old beauty joins the likes of Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Keegan-Michael Key, Tony Hale, Peter Dinklage, and Blake Shelton.
Producer John Cohen dropped the news on his Twitter account this Saturday, sending a jolt through Charli XCX fans on social media.
