The Matchup Is Set

Both of these teams have seen a game seven this playoffs, but they haven’t seen each other in a year and a half. And despite being a game from elimination, they could not be hotter at the moment. The Bruins brushed aside the Rangers and then swept arguably the best team in the East this regular season. The Blackhawks inarguably held that title in the West, going on a tear that would make this guy jealous. Could you ask for a better final?

But Who Has The Edge?

The Blackhawks have the finesse: Kane, Toews, Hossa and Sharp can all be prolific goal scorers, even against a Boston D that held the Penguins to two goals in four games. The Bruins blue-liners can score as well, netting 15 goals thus far. This is not to mention their talent up top, which doesn’t quite match up with Chicago but can still net goals. Physicality might be the turning point of this series, and that definitively belongs to the Bruins.
