The Daily Heat Index: Could Deadpool Host ‘Saturday Night Live’?

Plus, a fan makes a 'Back to the Future' prequel trailer, and we watch Adele f*ck with people in a Jamba Juice.

Here’s a daily dose of what’s heating up the internet:

Live from New York, It’s ‘The Merc with the Mouth’
With Deadpool dominating in the box office, it makes perfect sense that fans want more of the anti-hero, and they want it now. In a move so unprecedented that we’re surprised it hasn’t been done before, loyal fans are petitioning for the Marvel character to host an episode of ‘Saturday Night Live’ in the near future. Now, don’t get confused — they don’t want Ryan Reynolds up on that stage… it’s all about the foul-mouthed, fourth wall breaking (and fictional) Wade Wilson. Currently, the Change.org petition is just a little over 1,000 signatures shy of its 25,000 goal, but even if they succeed, who knows what ‘SNL’ creator Lorne Michaels will have to say on the matter. Is this an outrageously crazy idea? Sure. But do we support it? Absolutely.

Hello, from the Jamba Juice
Ellen DeGeneres has done her fair share of pranking over the years, but it’s her latest turn with music sensation Adele that takes the cake. With the talk show host’s voice in her ear, Adele strolls into a Jamba Juice (presumably on the Paramount lot), and turns into an employee’s worst nightmare. Between asking for her large smoothie in a small cup, cutting off and chomping down on her own wheatgrass, and whipping out some handcuffs at the counter, the Grammy-award winning artist went all out, and we love her for it. Check it out above:

Going ‘Back to the Future’
Ever wonder what Doc was up to before the events of ‘Back to the Future’ began? Well, thanks to a fan made trailer for prequel, ‘1.21 Gigawatts,’ we witness Christopher Lloyd up to no good while he deals with Libyan terrorist groups in search of some unruly plutonium. With clips cut from his other works, along with films like Argo, Zero Dark Thirty, and The Sum of All Fears, it actually makes for something we’d actually want to watch.
