The Daily Heat Index: Olivia Munn Proves She’s Not Engaged on ‘The Late Show’

Plus, petitions start for a ‘Dredd’ TV series, and a new promo promises dark times in CW’s ‘Arrow.’

Here’s a daily dose of what’s heating up the internet:

Don’t Worry, Olivia Munn is Not Engaged (Yet)
Over the last week, the always gorgeous Olivia Munn has been denying rumors of an engagement to long-time boyfriend and Packers QB, Aaron Rodgers. While chatting with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show, Munn goes on to say that she’s surprised everyone believed the speculations, especially her own mother. To dispel the talk in question, the X-Men: Apocalypse star whipped out her phone and showed everyone the conversation she had, including her mother’s mention of her love for ‘Colberto.’ Of course, the late night host did not let this slide by, and went on to send Munn’s mother a congratulatory text, further confusing the poor woman. Watch the funny texting altercation below:

Will We See a Dredd TV Series Soon?
Despite its earlier petition floundering, Dredd might see the light of a day again thanks to some extremely passionate fans. The release of 2012’s Dredd with Karl Urban and Olivia Thrilby brought along a decent amount of praise (even though Urban ain’t no Stallone), and viewers are yearning for a follow-up. With the ‘Bring Back Dredd’ petition chugging along with over 100,000 signatures so far, it’s possible that streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon could be a good home for the TV sequel. With such a loyal following from the original and remake, Judge Dredd making his debut on the small screen seems inevitable.

Arrow Promises Revenge in New Mid-Season Promo
Season 4’s winter finale left off in a storm of bullets, leaving fan-favorite Felicity Smoak fighting for her life and viewers wondering what would happen to Emily Bett Rickards once the show returned. While leaked images have shown she does in fact survive, though in a wheelchair, this new promo shows dark times ahead for The Green Arrow and the rest of Star City’s finest. When Arrow returns on January 20th, everyone should steer clear of Oliver Queen.
