The Daily Heat Index: A ‘Space Jam’ Live Read is Coming to Toronto in February
Plus, Sarah Silverman curses on ‘The Tonight Show,’ and rumors start to swirl again regarding the main villain of ‘Thor 3.’
Here’s a daily dose of what’s heating up the internet:
Welcome To The Space Jam
The Tune Squad will make its triumphant return, but not the way you’d expect. Space Jam will be a part of the TIFF Next Wave Film Festival in Toronto, with a special live read featuring talent from both the sports and entertainment realms. The live read will coincide with Space Jam‘s 20th anniversary, as well as the NBA All-Star Game set to take place February 14th. Fingers crossed that some basketball favorites will read a few lines and give us a little hope regarding the future of rumored Space Jam 2. Oscar nomination for LeBron, anyone?
Thor Villains Revealed?
Just after Marvel rumors began regarding the next Guardians of the Galaxy villain (hint: He’s out of this world), more talk has gone on about who Thor and Hulk will face off against in Thor: Ragnaraok. We had our assumptions that Cate Blanchett would take on a villanious role, and it appears that we are right on the money. Hela, the seductive ruler of the Underworld, will join forces with regular nuisance Loki in order to get rid of Thor for good. There’s also talk that the God of Thunder will also lose his beloved Mjolnir in the process, which would be a serious detriment to his fighting style. Take all of this with a grain of salt at the moment, but we wouldn’t be surprised if all of this comes to light in the next few months. Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3rd, 2017.
What’s That, Sarah Silverman?
Cursing is just a natural thing for Sarah Silverman. During a game of ‘Word Sneak’ on The Tonight Show, the comedian had the task of slipping ‘beaver’ nonchalantly into conversation, which was pretty easy for her.. but required a little bleeping. “I’m thinking about my beaver,” she told Fallon who immediately jumped out of his chair in school-boy excitement. “But it’s not what you think.. it’s just what I call my p*ssy.” We expect nothing less from the I Smile Back star, but we wouldn’t be surprised if this was her last late night appearance for a little while.
