David Letterman Will Host a New Netflix Talk Show, And He Already Has a Ridiculous Lineup of Guests
First up, Barack Obama.
We’ve known for a while that David Letterman would be returning to hosting a talk show for Netflix. Today Netflix announced its guest list, premiere date, and title: My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.
The trailer above shows an energized and heavily-bearded Letterman who says he just can’t tell his audience “how great it is to be out of the damn house.”
The show streams a new episode a month from January through June. The guest list includes George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, Jay-Z, Tina Fey, Howard Stern and Barack Obama.
A release from Netflix describes a very different show from the host’s often goofy Late Night With David Letterman.
My Next Guest is centered around one extraordinary figure whom Dave finds fascinating. In interviews that take place both inside and outside a studio setting, the conversations are intimate, in-depth and far-reaching, with the levity and humor Dave’s fans know and love.
The first episode streams on Netflix on January 12.
