We knew about the absolutely insane post-credits scene that was shot for Deadpool 2, but we never thought it would ever see the light of day. Well, now it has, and it’s every bit as hilarious as we imagined.

The scene takes on the age-old question: If you had the chance to go back in time and kill Adolf Hitler when he was still a baby… would you?

For Deadpool, the answer is a resounding “yes” — but the feat is not quite as easy to pull off as he imagined.

Here’s why the scene was cut from the theatrical version, according to Esquire

They didn’t include the scene in the theatrical post credits, because they wanted to leave the audience with a different message. “As much as I love this joke, we end on a really high note and that’s the way it should end,” Leitch told me.

Now, shortly after the Deadpool 2 Blu-Ray release, the scene in question has finally appeared on the internet.

And thank god it has!

Oh, and apparently there was yet another alternate deleted scene involving the infant Führer.

Esquire reports a scene was shot in which Deadpool decides not to kill baby Hitler. He can’t go through with it and ends up changing the child instead, saying, “You smell like Hitler’s anus.”

Nice.
