‘One Dance’ by Drake Has Been Officially Named Song of the Summer

Rihanna must be so proud.

Summer may be over, but the vaunted “Song of the Summer” title has just now been awarded to Drake’s “One Dance,” courtesy of Billboard‘s chart analysis.

The Canadian rapper’s monster single off his latest album Views gripped a spot in the Billboard Top 10 all summer long, and as the chart documents “the most popular hits based on cumulative performance on the weekly Hot 100 chart from Memorial Day to Labor Day,” it seems this one’s a no brainer.

Following right behind Drake was Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” at No.2, with The Chainsmokers’s “Don’t Let Me Down,” Sia’s “Cheap Thrills,” and the Calvin Harris/Rihanna banger “This is What You Came For” rounding out the top 5.

Better luck next year, Nickelback.
