Watch the Riveting Trailer for Christopher Nolan’s WWII Thriller ‘Dunkirk’
Incoming!
After heading to Gotham CIty, going inside dreams, and traveling into the far reaches of space, director Christopher Nolan is headed back in time to 1940s France for his next blockbuster, Dunkirk. And the first look at the upcoming World War II action thriller has just dropped.
In the intense teaser spot we get a glimpse of a packed boat of Allied troops (think the opening of Saving Private Ryan) as the men slowly but surely notice some impending death from above.
That’s pretty much all we get here, but we do know that plot-wise, the film will follow the infamous Dunkirk evacuation, in which thousands of Allied soldiers from Belgium, Britain, Canada and France were rescued after being surrounded by Nazis.
Dunkirk stars Nolan mainstay Tom Hardy, recent Oscar winner Mark Rylance, and One Direction’s Harry Styles. Yup, Harry Styles. It opens next summer, and we’re already getting pretty amped for it.
