It’s not that long until Transformers: The Last Knight is in theaters, and Paramount won’t let us forget just how much fun it will be. The studio has churned out numerous trailers, and the great thing about them is they’re not all exactly the same.
This new trailer is a perfect example. There’s the same comic scene of the Dinobot horking up a police cruiser in a junkyard, sure, but we get a closer look at new characters joining Mark Wahlberg and the robots in disguise, including Anthony Hopkins playing a grandfatherly English Lord who is apparently light years away from the gnashing teeth of his unforgettable Hannibal Lecter.
While we’ve been primed by past trailers for the war between Transformers and humanity, there’s more on-the-ground action here—even though we’ll apparently be learning backstory from Hopkins about the unknown history of the ‘bots on Earth.
It’s hard to think of a more classic sort of summer blockbuster than a Transformer film—the perfect kind of flick for spending a couple of hours away from the summer heat. And appropriately, Transformers: The Last Knight premieres on June 21, 2017.
