Extra-Long Cannon Balls & 4 Other Things You May Have Missed

The last time I saw something dragged out that long without even enjoying the big splash at the end, I was watching a Roland Emmerich movie.

2] Actress Amanda Seyfried stars as notorious porn star Linda Lovelace in the new movie Lovelace (out August 9).

3]

A-Rod’s on the cusp of being suspended, and possibly booted out of baseball forever, if he’s found guilty of using performance enhancing drugs.

Regardless of the outcome, A-Rod will still be able to hit on baseball fans – he’ll just do it from the stands, as opposed to from the field.

4] In this new British Airways ad, a South African Rugby player – who previously raced against a cheetah and won – went head-to-head with an airbus A380, and actually beat the plane to the finish line:

So, not only is the rugby player faster than the plane, he also doesn’t charge for extra bags. SNext time you fly, go Rugby!

5]

In a survey of smart phone users, more customers chose the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2 over the Apple iPhone 5 for overall customer satisfaction. They polled in three categories: Quality, overall value, and loyalty.

Quality and loyalty are criteria that are clearly not shared by

,

Riley Cooper

, or whoever buys the toilet paper for the

Maxim

bathroom.
