Trap Queens Rejoice: Fetty Wap’s Debut Album Is On Its Way
And hopefully he has more knowledge to impart.
We all know what a trap queen is thanks to Fetty Wap — in fact we’ve all watched a cartoon version of one growing up. But what else is there to learn about? What else can the New Jersey-bred rapper expand our minds to?
Come September 25th all will be revealed. With three hits on the radio — that’s “Trap Queen,” “My Way,” and “679” – Wap is definitely on the come up. The release date will ensure that the artist is up for Grammy eligibility which could add to his Artist to Watch and Best Hip Hop Video nominations at the MTV Video Music Awards this month.
Expect the same raw, gritty sound he’s been known for up until now. “When you hear Fetty Wap music, it’s all new music… I don’t sound like anybody else,” he commented, explaining that he doesn’t sample older music like most rap artists do.
Sounds good to us, as long as he keeps cooking up those hits.
