The First Trailer For ‘Aquaman’ Will Absolutely Blow You Away
This could be the best DC Universe movie yet.
They should just change the name of San Diego Comic-Con to San Diego Trailer-Con. Every year the gathering of fans, cosplayers, artists, writers, movie casts—etc—is the launching ground for movie ad campaigns.
And for the purposes of having something to write about as well as getting early looks at trailers like this, we’re not complaining. Watching this full preview of Aquaman, we’re absolutely stoked.
We learn some of Aquaman’s (Jason Momoa) back story in this trailer and we get a good look at Amber Heard as Mera, who is much more familiar with Aquaman’s undersea kingdom than he is.
We also get a look at some of the movie’s villains—Manta in his bug-eyed suit and Aquaman’s brother, Orm (Patrick Wilson). Here’s the Warner synopsis:
From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.
Just vague enough to make you us want to find out more.
And we can all learn more when Aquaman premieres on Dec. 21, 2018.
