Floyd Mayweather Watches Rapper Earl Hayes Murder-Suicide on FaceTime

The undefeated world champion boxer watched in horror as his friend flew into a rage.

Floyd Mayweather, the highest paid athlete in the world, watched on in horror yesterday as his friend, the rapper Early Hayes, shot his wife and then himself while on a FaceTime video call with the world-champion boxer.

According to TMZ, Hayes was in a jealous rage when he called Mayweather, claiming his wife had been unfaithful. Mayweather reportedly pleaded with Hayes to calm down. While it’s unclear exactly what he saw, sources close to Mayweather say he witnessed much of the violence that followed. Hayes was married to VH1 star Stephanie Moseley, who had been a backup dancer for several prominent performers, including Chris Brown and Britney Spears. Hayes is the son of soul legend Isaac Hayes.

The rage that drove Hayes to murder might have been caused by Moseley’s prior relationship with the rapper Trey Songz, who she reportedly had an affair with two years ago. Sources close to Hayes have told TMZ that the rapper never got over the infidelity and would often bring up the affair. The two were married in 2008.
