And… it also delayed the release date (again).

HBO just aired two seconds of new Game of Thrones footage in a new promotional video, and that’s good enough for us.

The footage was featured in a new commercial for HBO’s 2019 lineup, which also teased Season 3 of True Detective, Season 2 of The Deuce and Season 2 of Big Little Lies, among others.

While some old GOT footage was thrown in for excitement, eagle-eyed fans noticed a somber Jon Snow and Sansa Stark reunion shown was definitely from the upcoming eighth and final season.

Catch it at the 1:10 mark in the video above.

It is the least that HBO can do after pushing the release date back again.

Visual effects supervisor Joe Bauer just told the Huffington Post that the final season of Game of Thrones will not be eligible for Emmy nominations until 2020, meaning it will air in the latter half of 2019.

Fans were hoping for a April 2019 release, but they’ll have to wait a little longer to see the finale, which is said to include the deaths of major characters.
