‘Game of Thrones’ Premiere Made Pornhub Traffic Plummet, So Congrats On Your Restraint Everyone

Winter may be coming, but horny “Game of Thrones” fans took a break.

Well done, people. You managed to stop jerking off long enough to watch the season premiere of Game of Thrones! Good for you!

According to Pornhub’s Insight statisticians, it looks like a lot of diehard GoT fans were able to keep it in your pants long enough to watch a Khaleesi do her thing, which is commendable. It’s a big deal when a TV show causes Pornhub’s traffic to dip.

As you can see in the graph above, traffic dipped 4.5 percent during the broadcast, which is important, because Sunday night is one of the most popular times for people to watch porn and get off. So, fact that people watched HBO instead of porn is pretty noteworthy.

But then again, it does make sense that the much-anticipated season 7 premiere caused Pornhub’s viewership to (temporarily) hit the ground. The broadcast drew in over 16 million viewers, for fuck’s sake! That’s nearly 50 percent more than the Season 6 premiere.

Speaking of which, during the Season 6 premiere last April, traffic also dropped, but not as significantly, at a smaller 4.1 percent. However, for the season finale on June 26, Pornhub saw the biggest Game of Thrones-inflicted drop in traffic yet, with viewership plunging 5.2 percent.

“As is often the case with many events – Super Bowl, NBA Finals, Comey/Sessions testimonies, Coachella, etc., people prefer watching said events in real time. And, quite honestly, who could blame them? Pornhub will always be around,” VP of Pornhub, Corey Price, told Fox News.

And while we’re on the topic of porn and Game of Thrones, did you know there’s a GoT porn parody called Storm of Kings XXX? In case you didn’t, now you do!

Made by Luxembourg-based adult-film studio Brazzers, the porno is a magical four-part series with even more sex and nudity than the actual series, a CGI dragon, and an actual story line.

Sounds good, right? Watch it here, but not at work. You know, because it’s porn.
