A Game of Thrones Actor Accidentally Leaked Next Season’s Script on Instagram
We’ve got some questions.
Red herring or genuine slip up?
Elie Haddad, an actor on Game of Thrones — a prestige television drama that is fiercely protective against potential spoilers despite being adapted from a book series read by millions of people — “accidentally” posted a photo on Instagram whose primary feature was a portable electronic device showcasing what appeared to be a page from the upcoming season’s script.
I mean: Yes, this guy is new to the show, and seems to be pretty excited about being in Belfast to film, based on the other, non-deleted photos on his Instagram account, so maybe he just let his enthusiasm get the better of him. BUT: The dialogue on the page doesn’t quite line up with what know of Game of Thrones thus far.
If you have really good vision or just enlarge the photo on an electronic device or just go with what a whole bunch of eagle-eyed GoT fans have deciphered is written on the page, you can presume that the scene appears to involve Daenerys (Emilia Clarke on the show) and two Dorthraki, who speak the following words to each other:
“I like her.”
“She’s paler than milk.”
“I bet she gets nice and pink when you pinch her.”
“I’d like to know what a Khaleesi tastes like.”
“Good. You can suck my dick.”
*Laughter all round*
Here’s the issue: Since when has anyone on Game of Thrones uttered the word “dick”? Cock, cunt, prick, dunghole, yes. But dick? Nope. No dicks. GoT seems to be a dick-free zone.
So maybe it’s all just a trick (rhymes with dick!). Or maybe we’re all misreading the page. Or maybe Haddad will be burned at the stake for violating his non-disclosure agreement. For now, we know nothing.
