George Lucas Says He Sold ‘Star Wars’ to “White Slavers”

Oh for sure, bro.

In 2012, George Lucas sold Lucasfilm and the rights to ‘Star Wars’ to Disney for $4 billion. That’s a lot of money! But Lucas isn’t all that happy about it — in fact, he is so displeased that he throw out a comparison to slavery to illustrate his displeasure.

In a recent interview with Charlie Rose, he spoke of the Disney deal saying, “I sold them to the white slavers that takes these things, and…” He thankfully chose to trail off before completing that thought. Still, he wasn’t all too happy about the way The Force Awakens turned out. “They wanted to do a retro movie. I don’t like that,” Lucas explained. “Every movie, I work very hard to make them completely different, with different planets, with different spaceships, make it new.” Says the man who created Jar-Jar Binks.
