Here’s The First Look At Black Panther From the Upcoming Captain America Movie

This is the first glimpse of the Wakandan superhero in costume.

Production is currently underway for Captain America: Civil War, the next big installment in Marvel’s ever-expanding cinematic universe. While the film is so jam packed with stars that it’s essentially being billed as Avengers 3, fans are especially eager to catch a glimpse of  Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther, who’s slated to appear in his own standalone film in 2018.

Now, their prayers have been answered, thanks to this grainy shot of Black Panther:

If you’re disappointed, well, we don’t blame you: T’Challa, the crown prince of Wakanda and the man under the Black Panther cowl, looks like he’s been reduced to a goddamn Power Ranger with a couple of aesthetic frills. No matter: Knowing Marvel, chances are this Black Panther will be virtually unrecognizable once he’s been CGI’d into the next time zone.  At least we’re getting the added bonus of Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes in the right of the frame, decked out in his best hobo chic.

Anyway, this grainy photo should hold you over until Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6th, 2016.
