High Maintenance is Back and Better Than Ever

The superbly funny web series continues to deliver.

The latest three installments of High Maintenance, the web series about an affable weed delivery man (“The Guy,” played by Ben Sinclair) and his wide array of clients, are finally out and they’re unsurprisingly excellent. Titled “Sufjan,” “Esme,” and “Sabrina,” they feature a ferret, domestic distress in remote Brooklyn, a painfully bad STOMP audition, and appearances by Yael Stone, who stole our hearts as Morello in Orange is the New Black.

Created by Katja Blichfeld and Sinclair, the series bypasses the typical stoner humor gags in favor of more nuanced humor and poignancy. Each bite-sized episode focuses on a different character, group of friends, or couple, and delves into their inner psyches, quirks, and neuroses (hey, there’s a reason why they’re stoners). The result is one of the most consistently compelling and creative shows that’s not even on TV.
