Upcoming ‘Homefront: The Revolution’ Wants You to Free America from North Korea’s Grasp

Become a part of the resistance in this thrilling shooter

It’s like something out of a thriller: America has been oppressed by North Korea, and it’s time to take our land back. It’s the year 2029, and North Korea has occupied Philadelphia, the land where American democracy was born. This is Homefront: The Revolution.

Publisher Deep Silver has confirmed a release date for the upcoming sequel to the 2011 first-person shooter from Kaos Studios. There’s also a new trailer to check out below while you’re waiting on the game to finally drop this May 17 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Previously, the original Homefront was a decidedly lackluster shooter that narrated a resistance movement’s war against a unified Korea far into the future. The Kaos Studios-developed, THQ-published title released to mixed reviews. Hopefully the sequel, which has switched developers to Dambuster Studios, will improve where the original failed and tell a gripping story four years after the original left off.
