Hugh Jackman Just Revealed New Details and Poster for Final Wolverine Movie

The claws are coming out one last time.

New details were said to be imminent for the final chapter in the Wolverine film saga, and it seems star Hugh Jackman has finally shed some light via social media for what’ll be his last ride as the primal mutant.

The 47-year old took to Twitter Wednesday morning to reveal the film’s first teaser poster and what we believe to be the official title. Plastered alongside a New York City apartment building, the poster for Logan features a small child’s hand (possibly X-23?) interlocked with the clawed grip of our titular character.

Branding the movie with this title only further adds to the theory that 2008’s Old Man Logan storyline will be featured, placing an aged Logan in the midst of a post-apocalyptic Marvel world where well-known heroes and villains alike are scattered around.

A script page, tweeted out by director James Mangold, does reveal Logan’s diminished healing ability, and the fact that he’s turned to heavy dozes of alcohol to ease the pain. This, along with an attack from a group known as The Bangers, proves that the raging beast we know and love has certainly come a long way since his on-screen introduction back in 2000.

Rumors may be rumors, and while we’re sure speculation will continue to build with these new details, we at least know one thing’s for certain: Logan will hit theaters on March 3rd, 2017.
