In the 1990s, there was no greater joy than slipping into your JNCO jeans, cracking open an ice-cold Zima, and relaxing with ABC’s hallowed TGIF lineup.
But in 2017, Americans will be able to do that any day of the week (ice-cold Zima and all).
Hulu has acquired exclusive streaming rights to five tentpole TGIF sitcoms from the ’80s and ’90s—Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step, Perfect Strangers and Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper.
“These shows are more than just beloved hits, they were part of a cultural tradition to tune in every Friday night,” Hulu’s Senior Vice President of Content Craig Erwich said in a statement. “Now, it can be Friday any day of the week on Hulu.”
Hulu also recently acquired rights to beloved classics Golden Girls, The O.C. and Seinfeld and, unlike Netflix, doesn’t mercilessly remove them from its cache every month.
Great ready for some sitcom nostalgia come Sept. 29, when the TGIF lineup becomes available on Hulu. Get pumped with more of their catchy and lovably smarmy theme songs, below.
