Jennifer Lopez Will Perform at the World Cup Opening Ceremonies in Brazil

Phew! After rumors swirled that J.Lo was going to cancel her appearance, the singer confirms that she will sing “We Are One (Ole Ola)” before the first game.

Finally, fans of Jennifer Lopez can breathe a sigh of relief. Despite earlier reports to the contrary, ageless singer, American Idol judge, and newly single Jenny from the Block will in fact perform her single – and this year’s World Cup anthem – “We Are One (Ole Ola)” on Thursday prior to the Cup’s opening match in São Paulo. Rumors had been flying that the singer had canceled her participation in the opening, but the pop superstar confirmed this week that she is en route to Brazil, and ready to take the stage along with Pitbull and Claudia Leitte. We’re looking forward to soccer’s big event as well as the opening ceremonies. Check out the official video for the song below.
