Watch the first trailer here.
Jerry Seinfeld will be the next comedic legend to premiere new material on Netflix when his upcoming special, Jerry Before Seinfeld, drops on the steaming service September 19.
The trailer shows Seinfeld’s return to his old stomping grounds of New York City’s Comic Strip club, interspersed with early footage dating back to his late night television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1981.
In his first televised special since 1998’s I’m Telling You for the Last Time, Seinfeld will also give a tour of his greatest hits with classic jokes jotted down on the expansive collection of legal pads he’s kept since 1975.

Jerry Before Seinfeld is the first of two specials commissioned in a massive $100 million-deal the lauded stand-up penned with Netflix back in January. The 10th season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee was also picked up by the streaming service and is expected to premiere later this year.
