Jimmy Fallon, The Roots, and Robin Thicke Team Up For Adorable Take on “Blurred Lines”

The neo-soul singer hits Late Night for a G-rated (but still awesome) version of this summer’s biggest song.

Last night on Late Night, Robin Thicke teamed up with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots for a backstage, and really pretty adorable, version of his controversial hit single, “Blurred Lines.” In place of topless models, they offer up kiddie xylophones; instead of mylar balloons spelling out dirty messages, we get a ukulele; and who needs taxidermy animals when you’ve got a banana? We love Jimmy, we love The Roots, and hell, we even love Robin Thicke, so, needless to say, we dig it:

The question is, does this vault “Blurred Lines” into the lead contender for Song of the Summer? Your move, Daft Punk.

But, for the record, as much as we love this version of “Blurred Lines,” we’d still take the Late Night crew’s clip of Carly Rae Jepson’s “Call Me Maybe”:
