Late night, mischief meister Jimmy Kimmel reminded everyone that while Fashion Week may be filthy with genius designers, exquisitely-angled models and wild parties, it’s also a gathering of some of the world’s least-informed, faux-fashion-intoxicated wannabes.
Armed with a microphone, a Kimmel correspondent stalked fashion victims and lobbed hardballs about a wide range of “designers,” as well as Heidi Klum’s mortifying face-plant (that never happened). One Mexican fashion reporter claimed to have loved the “stars and stripes” collection from 18thcentury mother of the American flag, Betsy Ross, while another man raved about the refreshing fall looks from Matthew Perry’s Friends character, Chandler Bing.
The takeaway? Sometimes it’s better to leave your pleather muumuu in storage and take in fashion week coverage from the couch.
