Kesha Just Dropped Her First Single in Four Years, And We’re Celebrating With Her Sexiest Shots Ever
Pop music’s wild child is back with a vengeance.
When Kesha took her former producer Dr. Luke to trial over sexual abuse allegations, she feared the ensuing legal battle would ruin her career forever.
Not so. The artist formerly known as Ke$ha, despite ongoing legal proceedings, has a stronger following and a more mature artistic vision than she did when she first dropped “Tik Tok.”
Her first song in four years, “Praying,” does away with the unapologetically trashy lyrics and autotune that made her a late-00s superstar. The piano ballad addresses what she has called “the hardest time” of her life and how she “learned to fight for herself.”
“I’m proud of who I am / No more monsters, I can breathe again,” she sings in impressively strong vocals. “I hope you’re somewhere praying, praying / I hope your soul is changing, changing.”
Don’t sweat it Jerry Seinfeld; these lyrics are definitely aimed at Dr. Luke.

It’s a whole new side to the “Blah Blah Blah” singer. Still, it’s fun to relive her wild-child days, like her 2010 Maxim cover shoot (see above and below).
