Remember ‘Goodfellas’ and ‘Sopranos’ Actor Frank Vincent With His All-Time Greatest Scenes
“Now go home and get your f*ckin’ shinebox.”
Actor Frank Vincent has died, reports TMZ. The actor best known for playing slick, mobbed-up characters in classic Martin Scorsese films Goodfellas, Raging Bull and Casino passed away Wednesday due to complications from heart surgery.
Vincent was 78.
Vincent’s career spanned 4 decades. His credits included too many memorable roles to list, he was probably best known for his turn as mafia boss Phil Leotardo on HBO’s The Sopranos.
Sopranos aside, one of the most memorable sequences in Goodfellas owed everything to Vincent. As Billy Batts, a mobster who makes the grave mistake of teasing Joe Pesci’s volatile Tommy DeVito, Vincent gave pop culture one of the most perfectly delivered (and fatal) taunts ever: “Now go home and get your fuckin’ shinebox.”
Any set of clips featuring Vincent’s brilliant work will be incomplete. Go get your shine box then watch a few of the best below.
