Leonardo DiCaprio Is Out For Vengeance In New ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’ Trailer
Martin Scorsese’s star-studded historical epic is being called his “best and most innovative film in decades.”
Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and director Martin Scorsese are joining forces once again for the highly-anticipated Killers of the Flower Moon—which recently dropped a new trailer ahead of its October 20 theatrical release.
The Apple Studios historical epic, based on David Grann’s bestselling book, explores the murders of Oklahoma’s native Osage people after lucrative oil deposits were discovered on their land in the 1920s—the shameful tragedy is known as the “Reign of Terror.”
DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone star in the film as Ernest and Mollie Burkhart, a married couple living in Oklahoma during the time of the murders. De Niro plays Ernest’s uncle, William Hale, a prominent cattle rancher on the Osage reservation with bad intentions toward the native people. Jesse Plemons portrays Tom White, a federal agent investigating the murders, while Brendan Fraser is Hale’s attorney.
The buzzy film’s cast also includes John Lithgow, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, and Jillian Dion, along with three famous musicians: Jack White, Sturgill Simpson and Jason Isbell.
Killers of the Flower Moon is already garnering rave reviews, with Rolling Stone calling it a “masterpiece,” GQ proclaiming it Scorsese’s “best and most innovative film in decades” and IndieWire heralding “the best performance of DiCaprio’s entire career.”
Following its theatrical premiere on October 20, Killers of the Flower Moon will stream globally on Apple TV+. Watch the latest trailer above.
