Lupita Nyong’o Cast In “Star Wars Episode VII”
The recent Oscar winner is the latest to join the Force.
Buzz about the new Star Wars Episode VII film isn’t dying down any time soon. The J.J. Abrams-directed film is set to star Adam Driver (of Girls), Gwendoline Christie (best known as Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones), and original Star Wars legends Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher. And now one of the biggest breakout stars of the year, Lupita Nyong’o, has officially signed on. Nyong’o burst onto the scene in recent months, winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 12 Years a Slave and being named Most Beautiful Woman by People Magazine. She broke the news on her Twitter account yesterday:
I can finally say it out loud and proud: I'm going to a galaxy far far away! http://t.co/b39DjEEAzB

No word yet on what role she’ll be playing but either way, congratulations, Lupita, and may the Force be with you! Now the waiting game (for December 18, 2015) begins.
