WATCH: Madonna Put on an Impromptu Acoustic Concert in a Paris Park
The intimate outdoor set was in remembrance of the 130 people killed during the attacks in November.
On Wednesday evening, Madonna took to Twitter to announce that she was headed to Place de la République in Paris to sing some songs while accompanied by her son David, and asked for her fans to meet her there. The impromptu acoustic set was directly following her show that evening at the Bercy Arena and was performed in remembrance of the 130 people killed during the attacks on November 13.
The AFP news agency reported that she announced to the crowd gathered for the rare set: “Everybody knows why we’re here, we just want to sing a few songs about peace, just to spread love and joy, and to pay our honor and respect to the people who died almost four weeks ago. And to spread light…we all need it.”
