Watch ‘The Magnificent Seven’ Come Out Guns Blazing In Explosive New Trailer

Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke head up the reboot of this classic western.

MGM and Sony have released the official trailer for the Denzel Washington-led remake of The Magnificent Seven and we admit it, we’re pretty stoked.

Like the 1960 film which starred Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen, the new movie involves a ragtag group of outlaws and hired guns who are tasked with defending the small town of Rose Creek from savage raiders led by evil industrialist Bartholomew Bogue (Peter Sarsgaard).

As the trailer shows, the Seven, who include Chris Pratt as dynamite-loving gambler Josh Farraday and Ethan Hawke as sharpshooter Goodnight Robicheaux, almost look like they’re having fun fighting the initial onslaught from Bogue’s men—until they hear hoofbeats and realize they’re not close to being done yet.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua, The Magnificent Seven barrels into theaters on September 23. It may well make the western truly cool again.
