Michael B. Jordan is teaming up with Ryan Coogler for a third time: He’s joining the cast of Marvel’s The Black Panther which is shaping up to be quite the star-studded affair.

Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o is reportedly in talks to join the Marvel movie as the Black Panther’s (Chadwick Boseman) love interest. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jordan’s character may be a villain.  That would be quite the change of pace for a guy who has so far played likable, if sometimes troubled, characters. (Never forget Parenthood!)

Jordan’s breakout movie role was the lead in Coogler’s Fruitvale Station, and they joined forces again for last year’s critically-acclaimed Rocky sequel Creed

Black Panther is set to premiere on February 16, 2018, though that could always change.
