New Posters For ‘Super Troopers 2’ Promise Another Wild Mustache Ride

That’s meow like it.

No Super Troopers movie—okay, so far there have only been two—would be complete without multiple mustaches. So the posters that  Jay “Thorny” Chandrasekhar tweeted Friday should have fans of the original more stoked than ever to see Super Troopers 2.

It’s hard to believe the first movie is closing in on twenty years old, and if you’re new to Broken Lizard’s insanity, you might be surprised it’s taken so long to make a sequel. Thank the internet for that—the first movie was a failure at the box office.

Super Troopers was rediscovered and developed a huge online fandom—one that eventually crowdfunded the making of the sequel.

And this next flick is won’t just be winks and nods at longtime fans with clever callbacks. The trailers make that pretty clear.

Here’s the synopsis, in case you missed it:

When an international border dispute arises between the U.S. and Canada, the Super Troopers- Mac, Thorny, Foster, Rabbit and Farva, are called in to set up a new Highway Patrol station in the disputed area. Unconventional police work follows, and the result is…SUPER TROOPERS 2.

Cast members aside from the guys include Emmanuelle Chriqui, Rob Lowe, and Linda Carter.

It premieres on 4/20, because of course it does.
