The New Season of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Has a Premiere Date and Trailer, and We’re Prett-ay, Prett-ay, Prett-ay Excited

Clear your October immediately.

It’s epic news, so it makes sense that everyone’s favorite misanthrope, Larry David, is dressed like a Greek god to announce the official premiere date of Season 9 of his hit comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Yes, the most delightfully awkward show in television history will be back on HBO starting Sunday, October 1. It’s been over five years—yes five—since the last season, and dammit, we’re ready for more.

The darkly comic series follows the life of misanthropic rich asshole Larry David playing an, uh, misanthropic rich asshole named Larry David. The tagline for the new season: “He left. He did nothing. He returned,” seems just about right.

Here’s the plot synopsis from the first episode via IMDb, which seems to imply Larry is still single: “Larry gets scammed by an online dating site. He falls in love with a woman from Russia and lives his own 90 Day Fiance.”

Late last year, cast member J.B. Smoove announced the start of the filming of the new season with this clever clip.

And if you can’t wait for October, you can still enjoy some David-based humor thanks to Larry’s hot daughter Cassie’s equally awkward web series. Yes, she looks much better in a bikini than her dad… we assume.
