Watch This Intense New Trailer For a History Channel Series Inspired By SEAL Team 6

This badass new clip is inspired by real-life events…

History Channel is delving deeper into scripted drama. With the newest trailer for the network’s upcoming series, Six, we get the feeling they mean business.

Six was inspired by the real-life exploits of the Navy’s ultra elite SEAL Team Six, a once secretive group of special-ops killing machines who gained worldwide fame when they took out Osama bin Laden.

The series premiere of the eight-episode run finds the fabled team in Afghanistan, seeking to take a leader of the Taliban. The show’s synopsis indicates that once the SEALS are into the mission, things get complicated as they discover an American is working with the jihadis.

Six has had a long path to air, as actor Walton Goggins from Vice Principals and Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight had to be brought in to replace original series lead Joe Manganiello, requiring a number of re-shoots.

The show is definitely ready to go now. Six premieres on History on January 18.
