The Strangest College Sex Scandal Ever Is Currently Unfolding at Notre Dame
A female coach allegedly coerced male students into having sex with her own daughter — and it gets weirder from there.
A bizarre sex scandal is unfolding at Notre Dame and members of the school’s vaunted basketball and football teams are wrapped up in it. According to a lawsuit filed last Friday, an academic coach at the school routinely played the role of madam and coerced male students into having sex with her daughter.
The lurid details are unlike any other college sex scandal in recent memory. The main player is a middle-aged white woman who tutored students and, according to one, allegedly coaxed them into sexual encounters with her daughter, a student at a nearby school who also works at Notre Dame. She provided condoms, transportation and hotel rooms for the hook-ups. When he tried to back out of the strange relationship, she threatened him.
The lawsuit claims that the coach routinely targeted black male students, including basketball and football players. It calls the woman “racially motivated” and says after the student slept with her daughter she would pepper him with “racially-charged comments about his sexual prowess and genitalia.”
The coach has been fired for violating the school’s harassment policy, according to an internal report obtained by the New York Daily News, but Notre Dame is denying everything. “The allegations against the University of Notre Dame in the complaint are unfounded,” a spokesman said, and the inclusion of athletes is a “cynical attempt to attract publicity.”
But wait, there’s more! The suit goes on to allege that the academic coach roped another university employee into the scheme. A member of the school’s psychiatric support staff tried to “medicate” the student “to keep him passive, cooperative, and under control” so that he wouldn’t expose the coach. And then, as if it couldn’t get any weirder, she tried to convert the kid to Catholicism against his will.
Keep an eye peeled for updates on this bizarre story. We certainly will.
