Patton Oswalt is one of the most versatile actors working today, with an impressive resume that ranges from light comedy (The King of Queens), voiceover (Ratatouille), to serious dramatic work as an unhinged football fanatic in Big Fan. But Oswalt first got his start as a stand-up comedian, and he’s going back to his roots for an upcoming Netflix comedy special, Talking for Clapping.
It looks like Oswalt will spend plenty of time sending up the geek culture that he, as a comic book & scifi superfan, is a symbol of; along with more mundane but still sharply funny cultural observations: “San Francisco is the capital of the snappy response to the totally reasonable question.” Watch the trailer here:
Talking for Clapping premieres on Netflix on April 22.
