Your Favorite Nineties Bands Formed a Supergroup Called Ten Commandos

Members of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, and OFF!  combined into one massive new grunge band.

Supergroups are rough because, by name alone, they have to be, at the very least, super. This latest one, which combines a bunch of faves from the nineties, seems to measure up right out of the gate, provided you’re a fan of grumbly grunge rock, which most are.

Ten Commandos features Alain Johannes (ex-Queens of the Stone Age), Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden), Ben Shepherd (Soundgarden), and Dimitri Coats (OFF!). They’re fluffing up their flannel shirts in the dryer as you read this, and will be releasing their first self-titled album in November on Monkeywrench Records. Have a listen to the first single, “Staring Down the Dust.”
