Phil Collins Wants You To Ring in 2018 With ‘In the Air Tonight’
Here’s when to start the song so the epic drum solo kicks in exactly at midnight.
Get your air-drumming arms ready.
Musical legend (and noted Paul McCartney hater) Phil Collins just dropped some knowledge on Twitter that could make this New Year’s the greatest ever.
Yes, the former Genesis frontman/drummer and solo star who peaked in the ’80s with hits like “Sussudio,” “One More Night” and “Easy Lover” offered this sage advice on celebrating the start of 2018.
If you play 'In The Air Tonight’ by Phil Collins on December 31st at 11:56:40 the drum break will play right as the clock strikes midnight. Start off your new year right.

As we all know, the drum break from “In the Air Tonight” is one of the greatest musical interludes ever. Just ask Mike Tyson…
Truly, it is almost physically impossible NOT to start air drumming when that beat kicks in. And if there’s a better way to ring in 2018, we don’t know what it is.
Now, listen to the whole song here—because what the hell else are you doing?
